Lily Ponds

Lily Ponds is as yet un-fished by us but I've been and done a reccy on it in December 2012.
Google map link

The route is essentially head for Treaddur Bay from Valley as usual.  Take the left when you see  the second White Eagle sign (not the first), you'll go past a big white school which should be on your right.  You'll see a right turn nestled into a big of a dip (see pic below) follow this track which becomes more farm track like until you get to the parking point - the pile of gravel may be all gone by next time as the chap was using it to fill potholes on his drive.

Someone has said you can get Turbot off the mark in summer.

Ynys Y Fydlan Mountain Goat Mark

This is not quite as north as the Carmel Head mark but still a good walk I reckon.   It might also be inaccessible but if it is just carry on to the proper Carmel Head Mark - have put an update shot of where I reckon the Carmel Head mark should be.

Fishing Mark : Ty Croes

Ty Croes
Bit of a popular mark so perhaps one to try only early in season or late in year.  To get there you come off A55 at Junction 5 (same one as for Anglesey Show) and then head SW not quite going to Aberfraww but heading straight on to Anglesey Circuit.   You park near the cottages then I reckon if you follow the path in a dead straight line you'd come to the easy get down?

The advice is sandeel and fish baits for this venue.

This is the mark I think that's mentioned on Wirral Sea Fishing

You can see houses where the fisherman's car park is.  I think if you come straight along that path and keep straight you'd get to the easy get down.

20 minutes from Valley

Fishing Mark : Periwinkle Bay

Periwinkle Bay
Had 'found' this using forum posts and some google map research but again Tony from WSF forum has come up with the info on the actual mark.

Fishing Mark : LLam Carw

Fishing Mark: Llam Carw
Basically drive down to Amlwch Port and drive along the right side past the museumy thing and up to the car park on the top.   Then walk towards and past the house that looks like Ted McCrilly might have once owned and a further quarter of a mile maybe to the marks.  Marks have been recommended by Tony from WSF forum.  Click on pics for more info.

Fishing Mark : Carmel Head

Fishing Mark: Carmel Head
Park as if going down to Ynys Y Fydlan and then It's a walk of about 1.5 miles so you want to take food and drink of some sort for sustenance!
Route from Ynys Y Fydlan Car Park

Alternative from Hen Borth Car Park - probably 2 miles to Tony's mark.

This is a spot I think Tony from WSF has recommended!

Fishing Mark: The Range

Anglesey : The Ranges Mark
It's a bit further on from Porth Dafarch

To get there.  Starting from MacDonald's in Holyhead - take Porth Dafarch Road which is bang opposite; past the Forester's Arms, when you get to Dafarch go right for a mile and then turn left where there's a dead end sign and a sign for coastal path.  Car park is a few hundred yards on - when you get to car park go due west to the rocks on the corner.

Have read it's a low tide mark as the pull gets too strong at high.

Setting off from McaDees in Holyhead

This is where you turn left for the car park.

From the car park I reckon you go straight west to the corner

This is the route from Holyhead's MacDonalds - Porth Dafarch Road is opposite the entrance to Macadees

The walk from the car park, basically if you drive straight into the car park, get out and set off to your right.  Look out for the life ring on the point. This is the start of the get down.

Conclusive proof this is the Range mark!!

Look toward South Stack you'll see a little orange blob on the sticky out bit - that's the life-ring  - I was way off track as I'd basically seen a load of Coasterers or whatever the word is and decided they must have been in the right place.
You get down here from the life ring.
This is the mark - really deep water.  Big thick line and rotten bottom's the order of the day I reckon.
